The commercial department of SAP Germany SE & Co. The Performance and Scalability team within Products & Innovation board area is the central center of expertise for all performance and architectural aspects inside SAP SE. The team consists of over 50 experts and the majority of them is located in Walldorf.

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The "Search & Web-Analytics" team is a part of the IT Services organization. Search is an essential pillar of SAP's Web Platform internally and externally; and hence plays and integral role in SAP's strategy to become THE cloud company. The team will leverage SAP Technology and 3rd Party Tools to deliver a next generation Search & Web Analytics solution. The team collaborates closely with our Standard Development units in all innovation phases including prototype development, piloting new solutions, and development of new and existing products and solutions to take advantage of the latest technologies and trends.


EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

You will be working in a fast-paced technical environment and actively shaping SAP's Web Platform (internally and externally), contribute to a SCRUM team and work in an agile setup.

Your role will have the following tasks:

* Contribute actively to our Search based on SAP HANA solution

* Develop new search applications with state of the art technology based on customer requirements

* Create mockups and prototypes on search algorithms

* Develop search backend processes and optimize runtime

* Collaborate with other development teams

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

* Student (f/m) at a university or university of applied sciences with preferred field(s) of study: Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration

* Computer skills: Java, J2EE, Tomcat, optional: Java Script, AngularJS, Bootstrap, SAP HANA

* Language skills: fluency in English and German - both written and spoken

* General assistance for PSET team and manager

* Planning and coordination of meetings

* Preparation of PowerPoint Slides, Excel analyses, Jam pages, communications

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

* Student (f/m) at a university or a university of applied sciences (FH), all fields of study are equally preferred

* Computer skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel & Macros, Word, PowerPoint); student should know, in detail, Microsoft pptx and be able to demonstrate skills in an interview setting

* Language skills: Good written and verbal skills in English and (!) German is a must

* Soft skills: Proactive thinking and good sense of responsibility; organizational talent; self-motivation and ability to work independently with focus on results; flexibility and ability to work in a team; strong communication skills
