PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Controlling Team for On Demand is part of P&S Controlling within Global Controlling. Our mission is to drive predictable and optimal financial performance for SAPs On Demand business through financial excellence. We provide four types of internal customer service:
o On Demand Business Unit Controlling drives financial performance of the P&S On Demand Unit and ensures in close alignment with the business unit leaders that short- and mid-term financial targets are met.
o On Demand Business Cases drives long term financial performance of On Demand solutions and shows ways how SAP can earn money with it.
o On Demand Performance Reporting monitors short- and mid-term financial performance against business cases and reviews business case assumptions of On Demand solutions. The team identifies execution gaps, recommends and initiates improvement measures.
o On Demand Commercialization coordinates inside and outside Finance all commercialization activities for new P&S On Demand solutions.
Our team helps the organization to achieve their financial targets. This includes regular planning activities (like budgeting, forecast), focused management reporting, ad-hoc / benchmarking analysis, decision support, business case validation and support of different cross initiatives.

To further strengthen our support for the business, we want to enhance our team with a Controller who is able to support one or more On Demand units, serve as the business partner and trusted advisor for the management team, and drive On Demand business cases across business functions. Furthermore, we are supporting business-driven projects from the Controlling side as well as finance-driven projects to further improve our Controlling processes.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
o Become a true business partner for one global P&S On Demand Unit
o Support your On Demand unit in making and executing decisions with financial impact
o Support the management team of your On Demand unit managing financial performance by providing professional controlling support and applying effective and efficient controlling processes and tools
o Drive financial planning activities (budgeting and forecasting) and performance reporting for your On Demand unit
o Drive On Demand business case planning cross functions such as Sales & Marketing, Operations and R&D for one OD solution developed by your P&S On Demand unit
o Optimize business, finance and controlling processes
o Ensure compliance within the assigned business units

WORK EXPERIENCE
2+ years of experience preferably in Controlling and/or in an On Demand business unit

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Education:

University degree, MBA, or the equivalent, with a focus on finance and controlling

Required skills:

o Excellent analytical skills combined with a sound knowledge of various controlling instruments and a solid foundation in cost accounting
o Ability and experience to work in a matrix organization
o Focus on customer orientation
o High level of commitment, flexibility, and assertiveness
o Excellent communication, facilitation, and negotiating skills
o Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
o Fluency in English and German
o Comfort with working in a team as well as independently and with initiative
o Knowledge of SAP® products (finance, controlling, BI)
o Experience in working on projects
