PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
Crossgate, a subsidiary of SAP, is a provider of a turn-key B2B EDI platform. Customers connect only once to the platform and gain immediate access to a vast network of business partners, with which they can exchange messages for various business processes. The Crossgate platform takes care for the necessary format and protocol adaptations according to the business partner's needs.

With Crossgate being acquired recently by SAP, we strive for a deeper integration of our platform with the SAP Applications and Infrastructure components in order to be able to offer SAP customers a simple, powerful, and easy to track B2B integration service.

Develop and extend the core components of the Crossgate infrastructure, building the basis for the on demand integration platform together with our colleagues in Göttingen.
Build and enhance components to achieve world class scalability with our integration platform cloud regarding runtime and operation efficiency.
Collaborate with different SAP department like SAP PI to jointly work on a smooth integration of the platform into the SAP landscape at customer side.

WORK EXPERIENCE
Experience in the application development in C/C++ and JAVA

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
* University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or comparable qualification
* Strong analytical skills, communication skills, and networking skills
* Solid knowledge in at least 4 of the areas: C/C++, Java (Tapestry, Hibernate, JEE, JAX-WS, Swing), Linux, gcc, databases, connectivity, Perl
* Ability to work independently and in teams and drive complex topics to completion
* Experience with ABAP(TM), ABAP Objects, SAP PI, and project management is a plus
* Fluent in German and English (oral and written)
