PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
Analytics is a major trend in the IT industry. SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse (BW) addresses this trend. Based on an end-to-end Enterprise Data Warehouse solution it provides sophisticated analytical capabilities to serve enterprise needs. The meta-data driven architecture allows its deep integration with transactional (OLTP) applications.

SAP BW provides standard interfaces like MDX and SQL and is conceptually independent from analytical clients. Almost all Business Objects analytical clients and many partner solutions integrate with SAP BW today, leading to a high market penetration.

More than 10.000 customers of different industries leverage SAP BW. They either build own applications or leverage predefined content for various applications.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
As a developer in our group you will be working in a team of experienced colleagues. Your primary tasks include:
* Active exchange of information between our development and support teams
* Maintenance and support in close interaction with our support group
* Design, implementation and test of corrections from small bugs to major design changes
* Understand the demand of our customers and translate it into technology
* Development of automated tests

WORK EXPERIENCE
* Experience in software development, ideally in the reporting and analytics or planning domain would be a plus
* Experience with agile development methodology is beneficial but not mandatory

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
* Bachelor or master degree in computer science, natural science or a related discipline
* Strong communication skills
* Strong customer focus
* Strong quality focus
* Fluent in German and English speaking and writing
* Experience in object oriented programming. ABAP would be a plus.
* Understanding of multi-dimensional reporting and planning is beneficial
