PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Application Server ABAP is the backbone of mission critical business applications for large and small corporations around the globe. It is used by more than 12 million people in 120 countries. While evolving the server to support new scenarios it is crucial to maintain its extreme robustness and scalability.

Our team develops the foundation of the Application Server ABAP. The server is mainly written in C/C++ and hosts the ABAP virtual machine, manages hardware resources, network communication, requests and user sessions. We provide infrastructure for monitoring, background processing and lifecycle management.

We are looking for a new colleague to work with us in a development Scrum team for the next ABAP Server Platform.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
Our team works in a lean and agile way using Scrum. Integrated into our Scrum development team you will develop and enhance the central components of the Application Server ABAP. Our team is located in Walldorf.

You will:
* analyze and design in close collaboration with the Product Owner
* implement the solution in C/C++
* create automated tests, technical documentation and product standard deliverables
* work with the consumers of new features
(e.g. SAP ByD development, SAP partners)
* improve existing features

WORK EXPERIENCE
* C/C++ programming experience

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
You have:
* experience in software development
* strong analytical and problem solving skills
* solid C/C++ development skills
* fun working in teams
* an open mindset
* a degree in computer science, mathematics, natural science, or engineering
* very good German and good English language skills
