PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Production Services (within QGP - Quality Governance and Production) are responsible for assembly, component validation and software delivery according to defined SAP processes. We ensure that components of SAP Solutions comply with defined product standards.

Responsibilities include:
* Production of all SAP components and Support Packages and delivery of all SAP Solutions via CD/DVD and online.

* Validation of the standard TICM (Technical Implementation and Change Management)

The ABAP Assembly group as part of Production Services is responsible for providing upgrade and installation packages for BusinessSuite, NetWeaver and BusinessByDesign in close alignment with development and validation. We set up and host the delivery systems necessary for these shipments.

Additional tasks and responsibilities:
* Consulting for development regarding assembly and delivery processes

* Defining and implementing the assembly process in order to match shipment requirements

The ABAP Assembly team is currently located in Germany, St. Leon-Rot.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
* After an intense training phase within a highly motivated team, you take over responsibility over all software logistic tasks necessary to provide upgrade and installation packages for NetWeaver or BusinessSuite shipments.

* You are in close contact and cooperation with Development, Quality Management, Development System Services, Translation and Validation gaining a strong network within the organization.

* You will be involved in the complete lifecycle of multiple products: development phase, assembly & validation and maintenance processes.

* You support development and validation in solving upgrade and installation issues. Complex topics require your passion and keep your daily business exciting.

* You are involved in enhancement & automation projects for our assembly processes and tools.

WORK EXPERIENCE
* Experience with NetWeaver ABAP stack and UNIX is a bonus

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
* Interest in technical issues

* Development skills ABAP

* Basic knowledge about at least one DB (DB6, MaxDB, Oracle)
