PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
A vacancy has arisen for a German information developer within the area of ACI in Walldorf. You will be part of a team of information developers and translators, and will work closely with software developers in product and scrum teams to produce high-quality German documentation for Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) in the product area Foundation.

ILM deals with managing mass data within an enterprise across the entire lifecycle of the information. It plays a central role in a company's data governance strategy, responding to key issues such as data retention and destruction, legal hold management as well as managing large farms of legacy systems.
Because of its central importance in a company's overall data strategy and its key role in legal compliance topics and reporting, ILM has touch points to several other key topics, including Business Analytics, Data Services, as well as HANA.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
* Writing documentation for a business application
* Describing application installation and configuration
* Ensuring that the documentation is of a high quality and adheres to standards and guidelines
* Creating system documentation
* Defining terminology and acting as a super user for the ILM area
* Consulting applications in designing and writing ILM documentation
* Providing S&G to safeguard the quality of the ILM documentation across applications.

WORK EXPERIENCE
* Good knowledge of SAP's solution portfolio, in terms of functional scope, architecture and technology would be beneficial
* Background in either Archiving / NetWeaver or Financials / Logistics
* At least 2-5 years' professional experience
* Excellent knowledge of documentation tools and processes at SAP
* Experience of working in the Lean Development Model would be beneficial

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
* A good to excellent university degree in Technical Writing or a related subject
* Native-speaker level written and spoken German
* Excellent written and spoken English
* Experience of technical writing
* The ability to express complex technical information in a clear and precise manner
* Outstanding communication, writing, and grammar skills
* The ability to work to tight deadlines, deliver on time, and ensure high quality
* Flexibility and a readiness to communicate with other team members and to participate in knowledge transfer
* A willingness to acquire extensive product knowledge and learn new skills at short notice
* Excellent organizational skills
