PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
SAP's internal auditing department, Global Internal Audit Services (GIAS), is a staff department of the Executive Board that operates throughout the SAP Group. GIAS is an important management instrument in pursuing and achieving the Group's strategic goals. GIAS works at the behest of the Executive Board or is engaged by other relevant departments. It can, however, also initiate audit activities on its own accord. GIAS' area of responsibility comprises all companies and subsidiaries of the SAP Group worldwide.

The major tasks of the IT Auditor /Technology Auditor include conducting IT System Audits as well as the evaluation of IT related risks and related internal controls, and subsidiary audits across all regions. In addition, the auditor supports other SAP departments and business functions either as part of special projects or merely on day-by-day issues.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
* Prepare and execute scheduled IT System Audits according to the GIAS Roadmap, including planning, preparation, execution, reporting and follow up
* Evaluate the overall efficiency and effectiveness of IT-related internal controls and risk areas in compliance with applicable process standards and SAP's risk-cluster
* Interact, communicate and cooperate with internal and external parties
* Develop IT audit scopes, including assigning internal controls and risk areas
* Provide advice and support in specific areas as needed
* Develop and enhance departmental IT solutions

* Several years of audit experience preferably with focus on IT system audits

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
* Bachelor's degree in informatics and/or in business preferably with focus on IT-System relevant processes and controls
* Experience or interest to work in a multicultural environment
* CISA/CISM/CIA preferred
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral in German and English
* Self-confident, mature and assertive personality
* Willing and able to travel internationally
* Analytical skills
