PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The department IT Security & Risk Office (IT SRO), located in Walldorf/St. Leon-Rot, is responsible globally for the IT Security and Quality Management Framework of Global IT. The mission of IT SRO is to protect SAP's Global IT resources by providing unique strategic IT security & risk direction as well as enforcing the implementation of operational IT risk management and IT security best practices. The objectives of IT SRO are mainly to

* Ensure and improve an adequate security level within Global IT.
* Define, improve and enforce state of the art security guidelines and concepts for business and infrastructure systems on all devices based on our IT Security Framework.

The IT Security Specialist is responsible for the identification and evaluation of IT Security topics along SAP's IT-operating organizations to continuously improve the security level for SAP globally. Active collaboration and support of SAP globally during implementation of security improvements is a key task.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
* Support and consult Global IT projects to drive security improvements and changes into the organization.
* Support the continuous development of SAP´s Global IT Security strategy.
* Actively collaborate with and support SAP's IT-operating organizations to drive security improvements.
* Manage IT security audits and the remediation of issues.
* Demand for a challenging position with the chance to develop your own ideas.

WORK EXPERIENCE
* At least 2-4 years experience either in SAP NetWeaver Basis and Application or in the operation/design of IT infrastructure technologies. Additonal experience in IT Security Management or in risk oriented IT Security audits is an advantage.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
* Either Expert knowledge on SAP NetWeaver Basis and Application or expert knowledge on IT infrastructure technologies, such as operating systems, databases and network technologies and related architectures.
* Good theoretical & practical knowledge in the area of SAP´s product technology and underlying authorization concepts is preferred.
* Knowledge of regulatory requirements for IT Security (e.g. ISO 27001) is preferred.
* Security knowledge in IT infrastructure technologies is an advantage.
* Result orientation and execution focus.
* Proactive behavior, high willingness to learn and the ability to drive topics.
* Strong communication skills in English and German.
