PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
We have set ourselves the challenging task of further developing the groundbreaking SAP in-memory technology over the next years. The latest technologies in the areas of main-memory, multi-core processing, and data management now allow effective in-memory computing, which analyzes business data in real time and combines transactional and analytic functions to significantly improve the performance of existing business processes.

As the basis of the SAP in-memory technology, the SAP TREX engine is already widely recognized as an exceptionally valuable element of the SAP software portfolio and will be of crucial importance for the SAP market of the future. The TREX team is developing a software engine that runs high-performance parallel in-memory processing on huge quantities of data to deliver extremely fast real-time responses to analytical queries. TREX also retrieves and classifies unstructured data from text documents in SAP applications. In addition, TREX is a mission-critical part of the core infrastructure of SAP BusinessByDesign.

To further develop the TREX technology, we are looking for graduates (f/m) who want to apply their knowledge in various mathematical and technical areas and help us to further extend our technological lead.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
After an intensive period of on-boarding, you will develop new and effective solutions for business and technical issues together with the highly-talented and motivated colleagues in the TREX team. This is your opportunity to make a significant contribution to a new generation of software with the knowledge you have acquired during your degree course. We expect you to work creatively and with an open mind on developing new concepts, implementing these concepts carefully and precisely in software implementations, and optimizing these implementations on the basis of customer feedback. You can take on the responsibility for a subject area that you have special knowledge of.

Your tasks comprise the development of new ideas for:
* Compression algorithms
* Transactions, persistence
* Distributed server control
* Metadata handling
* Multi-tenancy concepts
* Analytic, planning, and calculation engine
* Hierarchies, outer joins, formulas
* Server-side engine scripting
* Cloud computing
* Distributed In-Memory Database Systems
* Ultra-speed parallel-processing in multi-core multi-box scenarios

We are looking for fresh graduates with exceptional promise who are about to graduate or have already graduated.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
You should have the following qualifications:
* Very good degree in computer science, natural science, engineering, or a related subject
* Understanding of complex problems, ability to think analytically and abstractly, as well as knowledge of an object-oriented programming language (for example C++ or Python)
* Willingness to take responsibility, drive new developments, and work creatively on challenging and groundbreaking development tasks in accordance with the highest technical standards
* Excellent German and English both spoken and written, plus a high level of commitment, team-spirit, flexibility, and initiative
