PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
SAP Custom Development as a global organization is dedicated to develop innovative custom solutions that address customers unique and competitive business requirements on the SAP NetWeaver platform. We deliver a full lifecycle of custom development services - from the strategic planning of a development project through delivery and maintenance of the solution. With development centers in Walldorf, St. Ingbert, Newtown Square, Bangalore, Shanghai, Palo Alto, Delhi, Tokyo and Sao Leopoldo, we are able to leverage a global delivery model that utilizes the specific strengths of each location.
To further strengthen our business in the manufacturing industry we are looking for a sales oriented Solution Architects (f/m) with strong experience in Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) and the discrete industry to extend our footprint in this sector.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
* Pro-actively support, assess and drive Custom Development opportunities together with the field organization especially in the area of PLM in the discrete Industry
* Build and manage a portfolio of resalable solutions in the area of PLM and support to develop a Go-To-Market strategy in the respective area
* Understanding and experience of software development, the key business requirements for execution and a good understanding of scoping at high level
* Ability to combine such understanding of custom software development with sales stimulation skills - maintaining balance of revenue opportunity and potential down-stream risks
* Establish, protect and cultivate "trusted advisor" customer relationships
* Work in a close alignment with the other SAP LoBs (Sales, PCN community, Consulting) at EMEA and MU level
* Be up to date of trends, processes in the discrete industry with particular focus on PLM

WORK EXPERIENCE
* 5-7 years of professional experience, with a minimum of 3 years in SAP

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
* Comprehensive knowledge of SAP's solutions for the area of PLM and discrete industry
* Experience in PLM implementation projects, ideally as project manager or solution architect
* Strong communication and presentation skills in both, German and English
* Strong Team player with good communication skills
* Pro-active and success driven with a "can do" attitude
* Focus on business development and revenue generation
* Strong customer orientation
