PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Regional Controlling EMEA (Europe / Middle East / Africa) department supports the regional management in all controlling related activities within Services, such as budgeting, forecast, deviation and risk analysis as well as project controlling. The department co-ordinates all management reporting and accounting issues between global and local controlling organizations, and is highly business facing to both, Regional and Local management teams.

We are looking for a Young Professional/Project Controller (f/m) with focus on the Consulting Business & Finance for our team in Walldorf, working with a strong dual reporting line between Controlling and Services. Leading, by example, and jumping in to solve problem projects in a hands-on way there may be a need to work flexibly, with some travel required to both SAP locations and customer site. The purpose is to increase transparency within the EMEA Project Portfolio for Consulting Services across the entire life cycle.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
Work jointly together with the Senior Project Controller in the following areas:
* Assess local maturity in Project Controlling and make recommendations to management on improvements
* Be an "expert on demand", ready to jump into a market unit to support a project recovery as part of a regional SWAT team
* Support the top 5-10 problems projects in EMEA on an ongoing basis
* Drive transparency of project impacts on the forecast and improve the information available to top management when making project related decisions
* Drive improvements in the bid review process, on both projects above cluster/EMEA threshold and on locally approved projects
* Build collateral that can be used as training material for on-boarding new Project Controllers
* Roll out of PEM, P3 and other ad hoc projects

WORK EXPERIENCE
* Experience in Consulting business of advantage
* Proficient in MS Office, specifically strong Excel
* Strong SAP ERP skills

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
* University degree and/or MBA in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration or similar
* Experience in both, Controlling and Financial Accounting and knowledge of IFRS as it relates to Consulting projects and MEA's of advantage
* Strong communication skills
* Attention to detail and comprehension of financial impact of decisions
* Strong business comprehension and mental flexibility, with an ability to build credibility quickly in new teams
* Ability to network and gain buy-in from multiple stakeholders
* Negotiation skills
* Fluent in English
