PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
Installed Base Maintenance and Support (IMS) is a global organization with approximately 1800 developers worldwide. IMS provides professional product maintenance and Development support for the Large Enterprise Installed Base.
IMS is organized in eight functional areas and one IMS Strategy & Execution Office responsible for cross topics as Maintenance & Support Processes, Central Quality Management and the Product Security Program.
IMS will take over the responsibility for the SAP Business Suite Security roadmap for products already shipped to customers. To ensure that customers are able to consume security solutions the approach for the roadmap will be changed from "Q-Gate" driven to "Patch Day" driven.

IMS will establish a central security program & project management team and a separate IMS central architecture team. The central IMS architecture team will be responsible for the overall architecture and roadmap.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
Within the next years SAP will continue to analyze and fix security vulnerabilities identified in internal research and by external sources. All activities are bundled in an overall program aligned with IMS, TIP, ACI and ASI Development. Vulnerabilities will be analyzed by the IMS architecture team which provides solution options including effort estimation and risk ratings.
We are looking for nine experienced developers / architects knowledgeable in the security domain being responsible for security architecture projects * starting with problem analysis
* taking part in proactive research
* providing solution proposals (including effort estimates, timelines and risk analysis) making sure that solutions are applicable across areas and easily consumable by our customer base
* piloting first implementations (of either solutions or underlying tools required)
* offering advice (as contact for application colleagues and/or by providing best practices, cookbooks, documentation and test concepts)
* contributing to development of central components reusable by various applications

WORK EXPERIENCE

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
* Experience in security topics
* Knowledge of the Product Standard Security and the security response and correction process
* Experience in at least one of the security topics Code Scans, Data Protection & Privacy, Authorization, Frontend Security
* High capability to adapt to new situations / problems and to prioritize tasks in alignment with other teams
* Good communication and team player skills
* University degree in an IT or a related technical discipline, or another adequate qualification
* Developers / Architects with several years of experience in ABAP, C++ or Java are preferred
* Strong customer and service orientation
* Language skills: fluent in German, English
