PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
Sales of web-enabled mobile devices are about to surpass sales of laptops, notebooks, and desktop computers. Corporate decision makers now see that these tools increase productivity, reduce paperwork, and increase revenue in ways other devices simply cannot. Mobile in the Enterprise is the future. The Global IT Mobile Center of Excellence (CoE) is a part of the Application Services Emerging Technologies Group. It aims to bring cutting-edge mobile solutions with best-in-class UserExperience to SAP internally. The Mobile CoE collaborates closely with our Standard Development Mobile units in all innovation phases including prototype development, piloting new solutions, and development of new and existing products and solutions to take advantage of the latest Mobile technologies and trends. Being an integral part of the Global IT organization within SAP, the Mobile CoE seeks to work closely with all groups in IT Application and Infrastructure Services, Enterprise Architecture and IT Security groups in order to build sustainable and secure mobile experiences and bring the knowledge and experience of how to implement and operate mobile solutions to Global IT colleagues supporting all SAP Lines of Business.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
As a Senior Developer (f/m) you will be working in a fast-paced technical environment with other architects, developers, designers, consultants, and customers. It will be your job to share and apply your development expertise and creativity to respond quickly to dynamically changing customer requirements and market and technology trends.
* You will interface primarily with internal customers, the field organization, consultants, and designers to understand the requirements.
* Together with designers you will create compelling mobile user experiences.
* You will architect and develop next generation mobile applications in frequent iterations with Global IT and Line of Business stakeholders.
* You will interface with Sybase development teams in order to use and adapt Sybase Mobile technologies for the solutions you build and provide feedback to them.
* You will interface with central architecture teams inside SAP and SAP product development teams to integrate their applications into Mobile solutions and provide feedback to them.
* You will interface with development teams inside Global IT in order to generalize project results and help to apply them to other Global IT projects.
* Together with your management team, you will embrace LEAN and agile software development principles and contribute to the continuous improvement process for our unit.
* You will help to communicate and promote the activities and successes of the CoE to the broad internal SAP community.

WORK EXPERIENCE
* 6 years of experience in object oriented programming building complex applications and/or mobile solutions
* Mobile development experience in Java for Blackberry and/or Android, Objective C for iPad/iPhone, Java Script/HTML5, Web Services, Service Oriented Architecture, SQL Lite
* ABAP/4 development experience (1 - 2 years) preferred
* Comprehensive experience in building reusable components, frameworks, database design and performance tuning
* Experience in secure web/REST service consumption and creation
* Experience in managing technical resources is desired
* Experience in performing code reviews
* Hands-on experience in developing and deploying mobile application
* Experience to work with virtual team is a plus

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
* Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields
* Proven software architecture, design, and development experience
* Excellent analytical and technical skills
* Comprehensive understanding of Object Oriented programming concepts and hands-on experience required
* Ability to innovate and lead technical resources
* Need to have a can-do attitude with the ability to quickly acquire proficient development skills in new areas and technologies
* Ability to understand business requirement and work effectively towards the solution
* Ability to share knowledge and expertise
* Constructive and open style of communication
* Team player and has ability to work independently
