PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
SAP Custom Development as a global organization is dedicated to developing innovative custom solutions (CDPs) that address customers' unique and competitive business requirements on the SAP NetWeaver platform. In addition, SAP Custom Development is in charge of developing Focused Business Solutions (FBS), which are SAP standard products that address the specialized needs of niche market segments.

We deliver a full lifecycle of development services - from the planning of a development project through delivery and maintenance of the solution. With development centers in Walldorf, St. Ingbert, Newtown Square, Bangalore, Shanghai, Palo Alto, Delhi, Tokyo, and Sao Leopoldo, we are able to leverage a global delivery model that utilizes the specific strengths of each location.

Since SAP Custom Development is planning to grow its business significantly in the coming years, we are looking for experts in Walldorf to further strengthen our execution teams for CDPs and FBSes.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
The 'Project and Resource Planning Program' of SAP Custom Development wants to expand its current activities in the area Field Service, Professional Service and Utilities.

As a Senior Developer or Development Architect, you will work on the entire lifecycle of development projects together with customers, SAP colleagues, and development partners.

This lifecycle includes the analysis and specification of the business requirements as well as the design, implementation, and maintenance of customer-specific solutions. Custom developments cover a broad range of areas including ERP, CRM, SCM, HCM, and SAP NetWeaver.

You will also globally coach and support the evaluation team during sales cycles and the developers during the actual development of the solution.

WORK EXPERIENCE
* Minimum of 3-5 years in development of SAP solutions
* Experience in solving complex conceptual and technical challenges with customers

TRAVEL
Ability to travel is dependent on project requirements, usually 30% are expected

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
* Application Knowledge in the areas HCM, CRM Service or ERP (mainly Asset Life-Cycle Management and ERP PS or CS) are an advantage
* Profound ABAP development experience
* Profound experience in object oriented software engineering
* Knowledge of the current concepts and strategy of SAP
* Strong analytical and communication skills
* Ability to pick up knowledge in new areas very fast
* Fluent German and English in speaking and writing
