PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
Specialist (f/m), Social Media Relations helps craft the communications strategy for global SME LoB and oversees the relationships with independent third party social media influencers. This position reports to the Social Media Relations Lead.
* Nurtures relationships with existing Bloggers & Mentors while always on the lookout to establish new relationships with new social media influencers in the SME space
* Support blogger relations team by driving regular interaction with blogger community focusing on SME (Allocation of time and effort across SME topics: Business 1 = 10%,, All-in-One = 10% Business ByDesign = 80%)
* Support BYD internal stakeholders with engaging bloggers/Mentors via social channels
* Support BYD stakeholders in understanding specifics of working with bloggers and plan and execute formats that strengthen relationships between bloggers/Mentors and SAP BYD executives
* Work closely with SME integrated communications lead to feed specific activities into BYD/SME plans and reporting and ensure blogger participation in SME activities
* Aid country communicators when appropriate to support them with local activities
* Interface with SME focused marketing colleagues working on social media activities to ensure alignment between GC and marketing
* Serves as a key member of the Walldorf based social media relations team focused on building and fostering close relationships with 3rd party influential bloggers globally
* Establish positive relations between the company and its various stakeholders through compelling engagements both pro-active and reactive
* Extends SAPs social media activities to actively engage with social media constituents and helps develop programs which combine traditional and social media outreach and impact for events and special one-off programs as needed
* Helps build and strengthen the public profile of key SME executive spokespersons via social channels
* Consult with all facets of Global Communications, global SME business units, senior management and global marketing in order to develop and promote compelling solution messages and story lines to further SAPs SME business objectives

Additional significant activities include:
* Support of development of Annual Communication Plan
* Support and coordinate execution against Communications Plan
* Building and Maintaining Relationships Internally(LoB) and Externally (influencers)
* Intel Gathering and sharing (Outside In)
* Support in defining Budget Requirements

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
* Broad technology business understanding, strong analytical abilities and critical, creative thinker
* Exceptional writing/editing
* Experience developing social media contacts and has a strong social network relevant to role
* Strong social media skills and expertise in social media networks
* Experience working on deadlines, firm understanding how social media works.
* Ability to work independently; self starter
* Ability to evaluate an event or news item for its impact on the industry or the company specifically
* Strong interviewing and information gathering skills
* Knowledge of enterprise software market
* Ability to serve as company spokesperson
* Collaborative, team-oriented style
* Must be able to work in a diverse multi-cultural and cross-regional environment, work independently, and juggle numerous projects simultaneously
* Travel required - 25 percent (estimated), including international travel
