PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Telecom Industry Business Unit is part of the global Industry Solutions organization and responsible for coverage and ownership of Telecom scenarios in the Service Industries sector.

In order to accomplish SAPs solution offering for the global Telecommunications market, the IBU Telecommunications is responsible for delivering a holistic solution offering ensuring the success of SAP in the market. Our solutions support a wide range of business processes, using all products and technologies from SAP and integrating partner solutions. Also, the IBU enables and supports the sales organization to sell the offering in the most effective way.

Solution management tasks will include client communication to verify and enhance current portfolio plan. It will include the delivery of solution specifications and development support of Telecom applications. Continuous rollout of new solutions into the market, providing necessary training, presentations and demos and analysts relations will be part of the job profile.

The candidate is expected to have excellent knowhow in technology trends and processes in the Telecom industry.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
We are looking for a Solution Expert (f/m) with detailed expertise and knowledge about the Telco Industry and solutions in the market. Your role as an owner for solutions belonging to the telecom business is to: * Help define solution strategy and the industry roadmap; develop investment plan and execution plan to realize market potential and growth targets
* Support product definition, product validation and roll-out
* Detect partnership opportunities and build business cases as appropriate

As Solution Expert (f/m) your focus is * To stay connected to the customers and partners to ensure understanding of their current and future needs
* To deliver requirements that reflect customer needs
* To ensure high quality software by working with customers, development, release management and quality management
* To build expertise around the portfolio solutions
* To support with solution details and expertise to roll-out new solutions

WORK EXPERIENCE
* Minimum 10 years professional experience
* Minimum 5 years experience within the Telecom industry
* SAP application Software experience
* Project Management experience
* Software product management experience desired
* Internal project experiences (Development Projects, Solution Manager, Ramp-Up)

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
* University Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Information Technology or related fields
* In depth Program Management and Project Management capabilities and experience
* Sales and Delivery experience within the Telco Industry
* Knowledge of Telecom industry (customers, competitors)
* Deep knowledge of the CRM, Billing and ideally Network Operations processes for Telecom
* Ability to work in a multi-national environment and willingness to travel
* Solid Executive-level presentation skills
* Excellent communication skills are essential to collaborate with customers, partner, and development teams worldwide
* Fluent English is a must
