PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

Solution management is ensuring that customer requirements are met, legal changes are reflected and market trends are discovered. As part of the CRM team, we are looking for a Solution Manager who will be responsible for the area Tax within the Business ByDesign solution, especially covering all aspects of sales tax in the related processes from Purchasing to Sales to Finance.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
As a Solution Specialist/Expert you will work as a broker and integrator between customer requirements on one side and the technical experts and software developers on the other side. Your main responsibilities will be:
* Analyze, define and describe business scenarios and processes in collaboration with customers, partners and development
* Ensure that all sales tax aspects along the end-to-end business functionality (SRM, CRM, Financials) is working in accordance to the legal aspects
* Ensure that the core sales tax requirements for Germany and US are realized and that localization aspects for other countries can be reflected
* Stay updated on upcoming legal changes (Germany, US) and drive the realization in the software
* Key contact person for the globalization team for other sales tax related topics
* Ensure that ByDesign is fulfilling the IDW PS880 certification criteria in the area of tax
* Support roll-out activities both internal and external, such as educating the field and partners, conducting trainings and customer workshops
* Work closely with development, solution management, presales and other areas to ensure consistency

WORK EXPERIENCE
* 3+ years background in the area of sales tax in SRM, CRM and/or Finance
* Experiences in working in a tax consulting business or auditing firm or as a tax accountant/tax advisor inside a multinational company would be an advantage
* Experience in defining and describing business scenarios, processes and process steps would be an advantage

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
* Very good university degree, ideally in Business Administration
* Deep knowledge in the area of sales tax (Umsatzsteuer) for Germany and ideally US
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Professionalism and a positive attitude toward customers and colleagues
* Strong Team Worker
* Fluent German and English (written and spoken)
