PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
Innovative and highly efficient processes are at the heart of building and delivering innovative and high-quality software products. SAPs central Tools & Infrastructure team supports SAPs software development processes with tools to ensure that the right investment decisions are transformed into complete and high quality products.

The Product and Production Management System (PPMS) is one of the tools required for managing the software lifecycle; it is the central information system for SAP software products including interfaces to many tools used in SAPs End-to-End Software lifecycle management processes.

We are looking for a User Interface Design Specialist within the PPMS Development Team for a maternity cover limited to 1 year. The User Interface Design Specialist has a key role in assuring best-quality and best-practice UCD within our tool landscape focused on lifecycle management tools.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
User Interface Design is central to software development. Our users expect applications which are oriented to their needs and make it easy for them to carry out their daily tasks. You work closely with Product Owner and Development Team to achieve that goal.
Your tasks include:

* Interpreting requirements into effective UI specifications
* Development of user interface designs using various prototyping techniques
* Creating interaction models and task flows
* Defining information organization and screen layouts
* Design support for the development team

WORK EXPERIENCE
* Experience in UI Design and working along User-Centered Design Methods
* General proficiency with tools and procedures required to accomplish the job required
* Working experience in an agile development environment and knowledge of agile usability engineering is an asset

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
* Bachelors Art/Bachelors Science in Human-Computer Interaction, Media or Industrial Design are required
* Knowledge of and commitment to UCD principles and methods
* Enjoy contact with people and passing on your knowledge to others
* Proven ability to interact and coordinate with teams
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German
