EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
:
This position is designed to act as a highly skilled technology consultant in the area of Client Support and infrastructure management with a focus on new technologies in the area of PCs, Mobiles and Multimedia. The individual will be part of a team responsible for the operation and configuration of the current and future solutions in the above mentioned areas. There will be close interaction with all related SAP IT teams as well as with our internal customers.
Your tasks will include:

* Coordinate support tasks between 2nd and 3rd level support as an expert in IT support
In strong collaboration with internal and external Service Providers
- Manage, escalate and drive 2nd level client support for the Eschborn SAP office
  (standard tasks supported by an external service provider)
- intervene in emergencies and support the local IT support units
* Ensure and optimize technical service delivery to ensure SLA adherence as well as adherence to standards, processes and security processes

* Ensure high availability and deliver stable operations

* Continuously improve and refine IT Support services with a strong customer focus

* Be the on-site interface for internal customers regarding the management of local IT environment

* Provide information and advise our end users in a solution-oriented manner regarding the latest technologies, best fitting services and if necessary to reduce tensions and comprehensively explain situations such as given conditions.

* Proactively monitor technical issues pertaining to SAP IT Services and make recommendations to reduce the risk/impact of similar future problems.

* Maintain and expand working knowledge of current SAP processes, as well as their integration and methods of support delivery.

* Share best practices with team members to contribute and enhance quality and efficiency of internal customer support

EDUCATION ANDQUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

* University degree in computer science 

* ITIL certifications

* Advanced and broad levels of technical skills as well as communication skills

* Comprehensive operational knowledge of all major technology areas comprising of Apple and Microsoft Software, as well as of Mobile technology (hardware and OS).

* In-depth knowledge of Apple and Microsoft Software (OS and applications)

* Good knowledge of network infrastructure and server architecture

* Extremely motivated and interested to embrace new technologies and adopt new skills
Excellent communication skills and well experienced in communication with customers;

IT Services provides efficient IT solutions, technology and operational support to our Lines of Businesses (LoBs) with a strong focus on user-centricity. The Application Architecture will be responsible for SAP’s application landscape for selected LoB’s and will be leading architecture for Top 10 IT programs. PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

IT Services provides efficient IT solutions, technology and operational support to our Lines of Businesses (LoBs) with a strong focus on user-centricity. The Application Architecture will be responsible for SAP’s application landscape for selected LoB’s and will be leading architecture for Top 10 IT programs. At the global unit Customer Experience (CX) in the IT Services organization of the Global Business Operations board area, we strive to provide a seamless and superior experience across all SAP’s customer-facing IT solutions. PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

We, the new unit Customer Experience (CX) in the IT Services organization in the Global Business Operations board, expand and strengthen our organization in the area of customer-facing IT. The clear goal is to provide a seamless and superior customer experience. The CX unit consists of Digital Platforms and the Support Application teams. Digital Platforms provides SAP’s digital customer experience via sap.com and One Digital Experience. Support Applications ensures a unified and simplified customer support experience for example via the SAP ONE Support Launchpad. Furthermore, Web & Digital Services is part of the organizational unit and builds web-based and digital customer channels such as SAP Store.
In your job as Support Engineer, you will have the chance to see the results of your efforts by directly contributing to the enhancement of our customers’ business and process performance, as well as the stability and reliability of their solutions. You can quickly grow in gaining expert knowledge on new technologies and their root cause analysis and optimization secrets. The team has to take care about customer facing support applications as well about internal support applications.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

As a Support Engineer, you will have the chance to see the results of your efforts by directly contributing to the enhancement of our customers’ business and process performance, as well as the stability and reliability of their solutions. You can quickly grow in gaining expert knowledge on new technologies and their root cause analysis and optimization secrets.
We are looking for a good team player and someone who has the ability to drill down into technical issues and solve complex and detailed problems.  As a Service & Support Engineer the tasks include:

* Administration and assistance of SAP Remote Connectivity Infrastructure worldwide: Sapserv-Systems and Sapgate-Systems EMEA, Americas, APJ

* Remote Customer Support and Partner Access to SAP Network

* Administration of Firewall access and permissions.

* Close cooperation with Remote Connectivity Development - DevOps
SAP Support Processes assistance  
(e.g. Customer Incident process, SAP Notes, Master Data Management)
* SAP Basis Administration (ABAP, JAVA, HANA)

* SAP Transport management administration

* SAP User Management administration

* Continuously improvement of support quality and delivery 

* Proactive thinking, independent working style, good sense of responsibility, flexibility and team player

* Excellent presentation and communication skills and interaction with stakeholders

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

* University degree in Mathematics, Information Technology, Engineering or Natural Sciences

* Fluent in English and German language (must have)  – verbally and in writing

* Strong analytical and logical skills

* Enjoy working in an team

* Very good communication skills

* Enjoy facing and tackling new challenges in different roles on a regular basis

* Fast Learner with aptitude to gain end-user and customer perspective

* Experience in building a support model and organization

* Experience with Software-as-a-Service or Cloud delivery model

* Ability to manage complex and/or cross-functional projects

* Project management skills, ideally with agile methodologies


WORK EXPERIENCE


* At least 4 years of basis administrative support experience

* Experience with different databases, like SAP HANA or Sybase

* Experience working with globally distributed teams
