currently I´m using the Eclipse Java IDE (Version 2.02) to develop R/3 based web applications. Being quite experienced with Eclipse I recognized that it has several weaknesses like the file management (because its a derivate of the repository based Visual Age) or several debugging bugs (especially with remote debugging).
I wonder if there are IDEs on the market offering similar functionality for a low price?
if you are searching for an alternative to eclipse (which is hard in my opinion as it is a good product for free) you may want to have a look at
IntelliJ IDEA 3.x from http://www.jetbrains.com
In my opinion this is also a great Java IDE and the price seems to be fair. Check it out.
thanks for your help. Well, I think that IDEA is really great but nevertheless I'll stay with Eclipse because I´m quite famillar with it. Hopefully these Eclipse guys will produce a more stable and flexible Build considering the debugging functionality and the file management respectively.
